After first overall pick Baker Mayfield helped lead the Cleveland Browns to their first victory since 2016, there are massive questions about who will start next for the Browns. Mayfield came in to relieve starter (and former Bill) Tyrod Taylor after Taylor suffered a concussion against the New York Jets. Mayfield took the field and ran with the opportunity, going 17/23 for 201 yards in the 21-17 win over the Jets.

However, Browns head coach Hue Jackson was not ready to publically announce if Mayfield is going to be the starter at quarterback going forward.

Many suspect that Jackson's words are more of a professional courtesy for Taylor, who had suffered a concussion.

Mayfield was taken by the Browns with the first overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Taylor was acquired in the offseason from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a 2018 third round pick.
