For the second straight game, the Buffalo Sabres were out-played by their opponent for the majority of the contest, but were able to come out two points.

On Friday night, the Sabres defeated the Winnipeg Jets 2-1 in a shootout to win their fourth straight game. This is Buffalo's first four-game win streak since December 2014.

Buffalo got a power play goal from Jeff Skinner early in the third period to tie the hockey game at 1-1. It was Skinner's 14th goal of the season and his fourth goal in as many games.

After a back and forth overtime, the Sabres and Jets went to a shootout that went seven rounds and saw five total goals. Conor Sheary notched the game-winning shootout goal, beating Laurent Brossoit with a high glove-side wrist shot.

Carter Hutton had another stellar performance in net, stopping 25 of 26 shots faced and made five saves in the shootout, earning him the game's No. 1 star.

Let's go inside the locker room to hear from Hutton, Skinner and Phil Housley after the huge road win over one of the top teams in the Western Conference:

Carter Hutton:

On team turning things around in the third period and overtime: "In the third period I thought we took the game over. I didn't see many chances and then in overtime, three-on-three is just exactly what it is. The shootout was a fun way to get the extra point."

On team getting wins despite not playing their best game: "Right now it doesn't matter how we're doing it, we're getting points. It's not always going to be pretty but we have to keep working and developing, I think that's the goal here."

Jeff Skinner:

On teams confidence after the win: "This should give us some confidence. We don't want to ask that much out of Hutton every single night, but he's been huge the last two games. We've gotten the job done and hopefully we can use this to build some momentum."

On goal in third period: "We figured that the power play going into the third was an opportunity. We're down one going into the third, on the road, and we needed to win that period. We were able to get a goal on that power play and stick with it."

Phil Housley:

On team's power play and Skinner's goal: "The power play just kept trying to shoot and get pucks on net. We got in there an created second and third chances and I think [Skinner's goal] is a perfect example of [what can happen]."

On battling back from behind: "We bent a little bit but didn't break. We hung in there and that's what's great about this group, they stick with it. We made some adjustments in between periods and they followed through. It's great that they've shown the resiliency up to this point in the season."
