The Buffalo Beauts are preparing to return from their break in the NWHL schedule with a new pair of coaches.

Late Friday night, the team announced the firing of co-head coaches Ric Seiling and Craig Muni, and have promoted former Sabres forward Cody McCormick as interim head coach. General manager Nik Fattey will serve as an interim assistant coach.

McCormick becomes the third head coach in Beauts history. The Beauts are currently 3-3 on the season in NWHL play, which is good for third place in the five team league.

The coaching changes come less than 24 hours before their next game, which comes Saturday night at HarborCenter against the Connecticut Whale. This begins a six-game homstand for the Beauts between now and Saturday, January 26.

Seiling had been with the Beauts since their inaugural season in 2015, while Muni joined the Beauts organization in June of 2016. Seiling and Muni were the coaches that helped lead the Beauts to an Isobel Cup championship in the 2016-17 season.
