The Buffalo Bills have signed free agent wide receiver Terrelle Pryor to the 53-man roster on Tuesday, looking for a player to help bolster the receiving corps.

Pryor signed with the New York Jets this offseason to a one-year deal worth $4.5 million, but was released on October 20 after sustaining a groin injury. Pryor had 14 receptions for 235 yards and two touchdowns in six games with the Jets.

Pryor's stats would make him the third best receiver on the Bills in only six games. Zay Jones has 25 receptions for 281 yards and one touchdown, while Kelvin Benjamin also has just one touchdown and 262 receiving yards on 16 catches.

Pryor has also played for the Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns and Oakland Raiders in his eight-year career. Originally drafted as a quarterback by the Raiders in the 2011 Supplemental Draft, Pryor switched to receiver permanently in 2015 when he signed with the Browns.

The Bills released cornerback Dontae Johnson in order to make room for Pryor on the 53-man roster.
