After getting through the first week relatively unscathed, the Bills are now dealing with injuries to some key players, some of whom may be in jeopardy of playing Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

Sean McDermott said defensive tackles Marcell Dareus and Jerel Worthy, defensive end Shaq Lawson, and left tackle Cordy Glenn will all miss practice Wednesday.

The Bills head coach said he’s concerned about Dareus’ availability for the game Sunday. The former third-overall pick injured his ankle early in last week’s game at Carolina and came back in, but only played a total of 17 snaps.

Worthy has now ben in concussion protocol for 20 days. McDermott said he’s always concerned with injuries, but especially concussions, and that it gets even more concerning the longer it goes on.

Lawson suffered a nerve contusion in Sunday’s 9-3 loss to the Panthers. But McDermott said the defensive end is day-to-day, adding he’s “confident” and “encouraged” for his availability this weekend, adding he’s made a lot of progress since Sunday.

Running back LeSean McCoy and linebacker Lorenzo Alexander will get rest days Wednesday and not practice.
