The Buffalo Bills locked up their 2019 first round pick on Thursday, agreeing to a deal with defensive tackle Ed Oliver just one day before the start of rookie minicamp.

As first reported by Aaron Wilson from the Houston Chronicle, Oliver signed a contract for $19.675 million guaranteed, including a $12.329 million signing bonus. The story of the signing broke just hours after the Bills revealed Oliver will wear No. 91, along with the rest of the uniform numbers for the 2019 draft class. The Bills selected the former University of Houston product ninth overall at the 2019 NFL Draft last month, and will presumably put him in an impact role right away.

Oliver was not the only rookie to sign a contract on Thursday. With the exception of third round pick Dawson Knox, the Bills inked their entire 2019 draft class, and signed eight undrafted free agents as well.

Oliver and the rest of the rookies will take the field in Bills colors for the first time this weekend to participate in the rookie minicamp, which starts on Friday in Orchard Park and will run through the weekend.
