The Buffalo Bills made a move at punter again, releasing Colton Schmidt and signing Matt Darr to the 53-man roster.

For Schmidt, it is the second time this season he has been released by the Bills. Schmidt was cut in favor of rookie Corey Bojorquez one week before the start of the season, but was brought back to the team after they had to place Bojorquez on injured reserve on October 31.

In three games this season, Schmidt had a net punting average of only 33.8 yards on 16 punts, with four pinned inside the 20.

Schmidt has been with the Bills since 2014, suiting up for every game over the past four seasons, with a career average of 40.5 net yards per-punt.

Darr is in his third year in the league after not playing on a team last season. In two seasons with the Miami Dolphins, Darr had a 39.8 net yards per-punt, with 62 punts inside the 20-yard line on 182 punts.
