The University at Buffalo men's basketball team captured the Mid-American Conference regular season title for the second consecutive season after a 82-79 victory over the Ohio Bobcats on Tuesday night at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio. This was the eight consecutive win for the Bulls, upping their overall record this season to 27-3. The Bulls also earned their 15th win in the MAC this season, which ties a school record.

Ohio would start the half hot as they were able to pull within two points of UB at 47-45, but Ronaldo Segu and Montell McRae both hit three pointers to help the Bulls gain a 53-45 lead.

It would be a close game to the very end as the Bobcats cut the lead down to three points twice late in the gam,e but UB's leading point scorer CJ Massinburg hit a couple free throws to capture the victory for the Bulls.

Jeremy Harris led the Bulls in points with 20, while Nick Perkins and Massinburg both added 17 points in the win.

Buffalo will wrap up their regular season schedule on Friday night as the team hosts Bowling Green for a 6 p.m. tip-off. A win over Bowling Green would set a school record for the most wins in a season in program history.
