Game time announced for World Juniors outdoor game at New Era Field

Individual ticket information was also released on Tuesday

While the date had been known for several months, the time for puck drop has been officially announced for the outdoor hockey game between the United States and Canada at New Era Field on December 29th. 

The first outdoor game in the history of the IIHF Under-20 World Junior Championship will be played at 3 p.m. on the third day of the tournament.

Individual ticket information has also been released for the game. A special pre-sale window for pre-sale tickets will be available for members of USA Hockey, season ticket holders of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres, and My One Buffalo members on September 21st and 22nd. Individual ticket sales will be made available to the public on Monday, September 25th at 10 a.m.

Ticket packages for all 31 games of the 2018 World Junior Championship are still available at, as well as 8-game and 12-game packages. Information for the medal round games will be announced at a later date. 

The United States look to defend their gold medal after defeating Canada 5-4 in a shootout in last year's gold medal final in Montreal, Quebec.
