Gronkowski suspended one game for hit on White

The NFL has disciplined the Patriots tight end, but he will appeal the suspension

December 04, 2017 - 3:49 pm

After almost 24 hours of talk on the illegal hit that Rob Gronkowski gave to the back of Tre'Davious White's head, the NFL has decided to suspend him for one game.

White is in the NFL's concussion protocol as a result of the late and flagrant hit. Gronkowski will miss the next Patriots matchup against the Miami Dolphins next Monday night, although ESPN's Adam Schefter reports he is expected to appeal the suspension.

Gronkowski's reputation will certainly take a hit with many in his hometown here in Buffalo. He's eligible to return to the Patriots on December 12th when they are in Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. The Bills and Patriots will meet again this season on Christmas Eve in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
