Guerrero Jr. makes Triple-A debut in Buffalo

One of baseball's top prospects has a nice debut with the Bisons on Tuesday

After getting called up from Double-A New Hampshire last week, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. made his long-awaited debut with the Buffalo Bisons on Tuesday.

Baseball's top minor league prospect, according to, and the son of Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero went 0-for-1 with three walks, two runs scored, and a run-batted-in as the Bisons fell to the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, 11-8 at Coca-Cola Field.

Guerrero's lone RBI came in the sixth inning when he got Gift Ngoepe across home plate on a sacrifice fly to left field.

Outside of his appearances at the plate, Guerrero made a couple of nice plays at third base for the Bisons.

Guerrero Jr. batted third in the Bisons order in his debut, ahead of Triple-A All Star catcher Danny Jensen.

The 19-year-old was spectacular in Double-A New Hampshire, hitting .402 with 14 home runs and 60 runs-batted-in in 61 games. Guerrero Jr. signed with the Toronto Blue Jays as an international free agent on July 2, 2015.
