The Buffalo Sabres started off their three-game homestand with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins. Buffalo was unable to bounce back after allowing a late third period power play goal.

Marco Scandella started off the scoring for the Sabres, putting home a rebound off a Jeff Skinner breakaway to give Buffalo a quick 1-0 lead. Johan Larsson scored a shorthanded goal thanks to a slick pass from Evan Rodrigues to put Buffalo ahead 2-1, before Boston roared back to tie the game, and eventually win the game in the bonus round of hockey.

Let's go inside the locker room and see what Larsson, Scandella, Rodrigues and head coach Phil Housley had to say after the loss:

Johan Larsson:

On letting the game get away late: "We had some opportunities that we didn't get, then they got the power play goal... it happens."

About Losing at home to Boston: "It's always tough to lose, and they are in the division so those are very tough points to lose."

Phil Housley:

On the officiating: "We try to control what we can control... there are going to be calls that go for you or against you, but our [penalty kill] had been strong over the last 10 games."

On the way the team played: "We played a very strong 60 minutes... We had our opportunities to get up by two and didn't capitalize, but we played a strong 60-plus minutes... I can't fault our effort."
