A wild overtime at KeyBank Center on Friday night saw the Buffalo Sabres complete the comeback on the Pittsburgh Penguins by a final score of 4-3.

Former Penguins forward Conor Sheary netted the game-winner in overtime after both sides had multiple high-danger chances beforehand. It was Sheary's second goal of the night.

Elsewhere on the scoresheet, Brandon Montour posted his first assist, goal and multi-point effort in a Buffalo Sabres sweater. His late third period goal tied the game at 3-3 and sent the contest into overtime.

Between the pipes, Linus Ullmark made 41 saves on 44 Penguins shots.

Let's head inside the Sabres' locker room to see what Montour, Jack Eichel, Sheary and Phil Housley had to say after the thrilling win:

Brandon Montour:

Impressionable for the new home fans: "It's obviously huge to have a game like that. It goes to show you, in that third period, what type of team we have here. There's a lot of confidence and it was nice to see."

On his goal and the crowd reaction: "It's a great feeling, especially getting that win. I know the crowd, I've been here a couple of times. This sport is huge in this city."

Jack Eichel:

Rebounding from a forgettable second period: "When we take penalties like we did in that second period, it ruins the flow of the game. They start to feel themselves. I thought we did a good job coming out for the third, and we found a way."

Ups and downs: "We've been in a tough rut lately. Played some good hockey, then we wouldn't. [Pittsburgh's] been playing some good hockey, and they're not in the best position either."

Conor Sheary:

On his OT goal: "It was a good one for me to get. Overall, I think I need to get to scoring more, but that was a big one to hopefully get things going."

Scratching and clawing: "At this point in the year, we have to press for every single point we can get... we had a fresh mindset going into that third period and felt we could get back into that game."

Phil Housley:

Proud of the effort: "I was really proud of the way we responded in the third period. We really broke through and earned opportunities, especially the one we got to tie the game up late. Our determination was really solid. Think it was a reminder that this group can still do it."

On Sheary's efforts: "He elevated his game playing against his own team. The lines we were rolling really well in the third, and his line with Kyle Okposo and Zemgus Girgensons were strong."
