Orchard Park, NY (WGR550) - Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is still in the league’s concussion protocol, but he was a limited participant here at Thursday’s practice. That’s a positive step for McCoy, who left last Sunday’s game in Indianapolis after the second play from scrimmage with a head injury.

Defensive end Trent Murphy, who didn’t finish the game against the Colts due to a knee injury, did not practice. Neither did running back Taiwan Jones, who missed last week’s game with a neck injury.

Veteran linebacker Lorenzo Alexander and defensive tackle Kyle Williams received rest days, typical for them on a Wednesday, but with the game on Monday night next week, Thursday's practice was treated as a normal Wednesday would be.

Here’s video of McCoy taking a handoff while wearing a red non-contact jersey, as well as quarterback Josh Allen working with trainers as he recovers from a sprained elbow. Allen is still not participating in practice.
