Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott joined Schopp and the Bulldog for his weekly Monday visit on WGR, following Buffalo's 30-27 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After seeing his team rise to 4-2 on the 2017 season, McDermott knew it was a big victory for the team at the friendly confines of New Era Field.

"It feels great. I'm happy for the players, happy for the entire organization, happy for the fans," McDermott said. "It was a great win and a great afternoon in Western New York."

After a Buccaneers touchdown late in the fourth quarter gave them a seven-point lead, the Bills responded 48-seconds later with a LeSean McCoy touchdown run to tie the game at 27. After the touchdown, some fans may have feared that the Bills had scored too quickly. However, McDermott believed his team had the resilience to come away with the win.

"I was impressed with the resiliency of our football team," McDermott said. "We did get into scoring position rather quickly and a that point, because we were still down a touchdown, my thought was to score and make sure to secure the tie, knot it up and put the defense back on the field. I was confident in that group and Leslie Frazier's defense, and they came away with a big takeaway."

The Bills got contribution from plenty of unsung heroes in the win on Sunday afternoon. Rookie linebacker Matt Milano, defensive end Ryan Davis, wide receiver Deonte Thompson and running back Taiwan Jones were the most notable players who chipped in with some big plays to get the Bills a win. While McDermott has to coach them up, he was quick to credit the management team at One Bills Drive and the players themselves.

"[Have to] give a lot of credit to our personnel department, Brandon Beane and his staff, and the mindset of the players... And the coaches, they do a phenomenal job getting the players ready and the players put in a lot of work during the week to earn the right to win," McDermott said. "Whether it's Taiwan Jones or Tyrod Taylor, all the way down and across the roster."

In addition, McDermott is always excited to see which players are going to step up from game-to-game.

"The fun part is, week-to-week, you're never sure who it's going to be next. It could be Taiwan again next week, it could be [Deonte Thompson], or it could be somebody else. That's the great part about us and how we evolve week-to-week."

Up next for McDermott and the Bills is a matchup with the Oakland Raiders on Sunday at New Era Field. The Raiders get the chance to prepare for the Bills on a long rest week, having played this past Thursday in a thrilling win over the Kansas City Chiefs. McDermott knows that his team is going to face a team coming in with a lot of momentum after a big win over a division rival.

"They're a good football team, they're on a roll right now," McDermott said. "They're playing good football right now, they're getting their quarterback back. They're a very talented football team with a tremendous pass rusher in Khalil Mack and then weapons on offense."
