Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman has finally landed on his feet with another team in the National Football League.

The Oakland Raiders signed Peterman to their practice squad on Wednesday, making him the second quarterback acquired by Oakland that started the 2018 preseason with the Bills. A.J. McCarron, who was traded by Buffalo to Oakland after the preseason, remains on Oakland's roster as the backup to Derek Carr.

For Peterman, it's a chance for a fresh start after a dreadful opening to his career in Buffalo. In eight games with the Bills, Peterman was 68-of-130 for 548 yards, three touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Peterman has had 9.23-percent of his passes intercepted in his two seasons with the Bills.

The Bills drafted Peterman in the fifth round (171st overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft out of the University of Pittsburgh.

Peterman was released by the team on November 12 after Peterman's start against the Chicago Bears. It was the only game that Peterman has played from start to finish in his career.

Peterman is allowed to remain on Oakland's practice squad for two seasons if he is not signed to a team's 53-man roster.
