As training camp begins at St. John Fisher, the Buffalo Bills are still exploring players on the free agent market. Earlier in the week the team reportedly worked out tight end Clay Harbor. On Friday, it's reportedly a running back.

Orleans Darkwa has spent most of his career with the New York Giants, seeing his most significant playing time last season. Starting in 11 games, Darkwa rushed for 751 yards and five touchdowns. He added 19 receptions for 116 yards in the pass game. Described as a good between the tackles back, Darkwa has shown so far in his career that he's more balanced than once thought. While not overly dangerous as a receiver, he certainly can give you something in the pass game.

After playing through injury all year last season, Darkwa had offseason surgery this spring to remove a plate in his leg.

He also visited with the Patriots earlier in free agency.

At 26-years-old, Darkwa would become the youngest running back on the Bills roster, other than undrafted free agent rookie Keith Ford. He would provide some insurance in the Bills' backfield if it happens that LeSean McCoy is not available to them.
