The Buffalo Bills released Richie Incognito from their reserved / retired list on Monday, as Incognito has said he wants to play again in the National Football League.

Incognito is staying in the headlines, but not for the right reasons.

TMZ reports that Incognito was placed in an involuntary psychiatric hold after he apparently launched a dumbbell at another person.

TMZ also says that Incognito threw a tennis ball at the victim before upgrading to a dumbbell, while also saying "get off my (expletive) playground". He was not arrested, but this is the second time he's been placed in a psychiatric hold. The first time came back in 2014 after being released by the Miami Dolphins.

Incognito spent three seasons with the Bills, starting in all 48 games in that time span. Incognito said he would retire earlier in the offseason citing health issues. He reportedly will explore playing next season with another team.
