Aaron Rodgers gets $104 million in guaranteed money, which makes him the highest paid player in NFL history

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has the reputation of being one of the top passers in the National Football League. Now, he's the highest paid player of them all.

The Packers and Rodgers came to an agreement on a new four-year deal on Wednesday worth a whopping $134 million.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Rodgers deal includes nearly $103 million in total guaranteed money, and could potentially be worth up to $180 million in total money. Schefter also reports that Rodgers' contract will carry a cap hit of $33.5 million.

Throughout his 14-year NFL career, Rodgers has been one of the best statistical quarterbacks, completing 65.1-percent of his career passes for 38,502 yards, 313 touchdowns and just 78 interceptions. In his career, Rodgers has been selected to six Pro Bowls, was named the NFL's most valuable player twice (2011 and 2014), and helped lead the Packers to a victory in Super Bowl XLV.

Rodgers was injured for most of last season, and his absence was felt when the Packers went 3-6 under, then-backup quarterback, Brett Hundley and missed the playoffs. Hundley was traded to the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, which now makes DeShone Kizer the backup in Green Bay.
