Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - Jason Botterill said he wanted Scott Wilson back and he’s getting him. The veteran winger played with three teams last season, scoring six goals and eight assists for 14 points in 49 games with Buffalo.

Wilson gets a two-year, $2.1 million contract.

Wilson won two Stanley Cups as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and he turned out to be a good third or fourth line player that can contribute the odd goal.

In 172 NHL games with the Sabres, Penguins and Detroit, Wilson has 19 goals and 27 assists for 46 points.

Wilson went to the same college, UMass-Lowell, as new Sabres goaltender Carter Hutton.
