Newark, NJ (WGR 550) - The Sabres have recalled Casey Nelson from Rochester. He spent five games with the Amerks on conditioning. He had one assist on those games.

Nelson has missed 28 games with an upper-body injury. Marco Scandella is not on the trip and Buffalo had to make room for Nelson. It could result in Scandella being placed on injured reserve.
