Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - With Marco Scandella out with an ankle injury, Lawrence Pilut has been brought up from Rochester. Pilut leaves the Amerks with a seven-game point streak, picking up eight assists and nine points.

Pilut is tied for the AHL lead in scoring with three goals and 19 assists for 22 points in 15 games. The 22-year-old defenseman seems to have gone ahead of 21-year-old Brendan Guhle on the Sabres' depth chart, which is not a knock on Guhle at all. It just shows how well Pilut has played.

To make room, the Sabres have put Patrik Berglund on injured reserve.

The Sabres play the Flyers tonight. Join Brian Koziol for the pre-game starting at 6:35 when he’ll be joined by Phil Housley, Jason Pominville and Tage Thompson.
