After falling behind 2-0 in the second period, the Buffalo Sabres rattled off four unanswered goals on Sunday to defeat the Anaheim Ducks 4-2. The win gives Buffalo a 3-2 record on their Western Conference road trip and six out of a possible 10 points.

The Sabres' offense turned up the heat on Ryan Miller, peppering the former Buffalo netminder with 45 shots on goal. At the other end, Carter Hutton was strong in the victory, turning aside 26 of 28 shots faced.

The Sabres came out buzzing in the opening period, firing 14 shots on Miller, but to no avail. Jeff Skinner provided four of those shots, plus a shot off the post, while Jack Eichel came up with three shots. Despite the pressure, Anaheim got out to the 1-0 lead on Sam Steel's first goal of the season, and his career. Steel got in front of Brandon Montour's point shot, deflecting it past Hutton for the first goal of the game.

Kiefer Sherwood made it 2-0 at 13:32 of the second period, but the Sabres cut the lead in half about 2:30 later on Kyle Okposo's first goal of the season. With Buffalo on the power play, Okposo buried a one-timer from Sam Reinhart, making the score 2-1.

Only 88-seconds later, Skinner struck again. Skinner notched his team-leading fifth goal and seventh point of the five-game road trip. Eichel's backhand pass to Jason Pominville got the play started -- Pominville worked it up ice to Skinner, who drove to the net and tucked a shot by Miller, tying the game 2-2.

Buffalo went ahead nearly four minutes into the final period on Rasmus Ristolainen's power play goal. Ristolainen let a slapshot from the point go that went through traffic -- including Sam Reinhart in front of Miller -- and into the net.

Anaheim applied some late pressure as they tried to tie the game and send it to overtime, but Hutton stood strong and Patrik Berglund sealed the win with an empty-netter.
