Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - Brendan Guhle has been through more than one development camp and now he’s the veteran. Guhle is rooming with Rasmus Dahlin and he has enjoyed getting to know the Sabres new defenseman, “We’ve been chatting and I’ve gotten to know him, he’s a good kid.” Yes, the 20-year-old is saying the 18-year-old is a good kid, I do like that.

With this being development camp, the players are learning what the NHL guys go through. Guhle said he’s passing that on to Dahlin, “I just let him know who everyone is and if he’s got any questions, he can ask me, so I’m sure he’s going to figure it out, he’s a good kid and he’s smart.”

“He’s world class and you can see it out there, it’s awesome.”

The boys, of course, have been watching the World Cup and Guhle said there are other things they do to, “He’s real humble and real relaxed and we just chit-chat and we were watching America’s Got Talent last night and he said they have that in Sweden, so it was perfect,”

Dahlin has been impressed with Guhle and is glad he’s been paired with him as a roommate, “He knows this kind of camp and he’s a great leader too, a good guy and a great player on the ice, so I’ve learned a lot from him.”

The HarborCenter was packed for the practice and Dahlin said he was surprised, “It was awesome, it was fun training with all the crowds and it was pretty special.”

The fans loved it and were cheering Dahlin’s every move. He scored some nice goals and said he usually doesn’t, “Actually I haven’t scored that many goals in I don’t know how many years, so today, I scored a lot of goals, so that was fun.”

Gilbert Perreault took Dahlin around town on Tuesday. Dahlin said he enjoyed meeting the legend, “Yes, he was a great guy and a funny guy and of course a legend, so it was awesome.

"For these four days, everyone has been so friendly and have wished all the best for me, so it’s been amazing here and I love it.”

Dahlin looked really good with almost everything he did. He labeled a couple of pucks up high and down low on Jonas Johansson and Hunter Shepard. You could tell how much better he was than everybody else than Guhle. The one things Guhle does better than Dahlin is skate.

Camp continues on Thursday with sessions at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
