Sabres to play five times on national television

The Sabres will play twice on NBCSN at KeyBank Center

The Buffalo Sabres are set to play in five nationally televised games during the 2019-2020 season.

All of Buffalo's nationally televised games will be broadcasted on NBC Sports Network with two of the five games being broadcasted on home ice at KeyBank Center.

The first of the nationally televised games for the Sabres will take place on Friday, November 8 at 2 p.m. when the team is in Stockholm, Sweden to take on the Tampa Bay Lightning as part of the NHL Global Series.

Buffalo will have two games played on NBCSN in the month of December. The first game comes on Tuesday, December 10 against the St. Louis Blues at KeyBank Center, with the second game coming exactly one week later on the road against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Sabres will not be featured on NBCSN again until Thursday, February 6 when the Detroit Red Wings pay a visit to KeyBank Center.

Finally, the national schedule wraps up for the Sabres on Wednesday, February 26 when the team is in Colorado for an 8 p.m. faceoff against the Avalanche.

Here is a rundown of the games to come on NBCSN:

  • Friday, November 8: vs. Tampa Bay Lightning - 2 p.m. (Stockholm, Sweden)
  • Tuesday, December 10: vs. St. Louis Blues - 7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, December 17: at Toronto Maple Leafs - 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 6: vs. Detroit Red Wings - 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 26: at Colorado Avalanche - 8 p.m.

The rest of the 77 games this season will televised on MSG.

All 82 games can be heard on the radio home of the Sabres - WGR Sports Radio 550.

The NBC schedule will see 109 total games being played throughout the course of the season, with the season starting on October 2 when the Blues will raise their Stanley Cup banner against the Washington Capitals.

The Ottawa Senators are the only team in the NHL that will not be featured in a nationally televised game this season on NBC.
