(WGR 550) - Sam Reinhart didn’t start the World Championship well, but he’s come on strong with two goals in Canada’s 5-0 win over Denmark on Monday. Reinhart now has three goals and two assists for five points in six games.

Reinhart’s first goal was a shot he almost never scores on. He came through the right circle and ripped a shot under the crossbar to beat goalie Patrick Galbraith.

His second goal was the way he almost always scores. Reinhart parked himself in front of the net and tipped in Philippe Myers' Phil. shot. Reinhart has played the whole tournament on the right wing with Sean Couturier Phil. and Anthony Cirelli T.B. Cirelli had a goal disallowed that Reinhart would’ve assisted on for kicking the puck in.

Reinhart played 13:10 and had three shots on goal.

Jonathan Marchessault Veg. had a goal and an assist, giving him points in all six of Canada’s games.

Pierre-Luc Dubois Clm. and Jared McCann Pitt. had the other two Canada goals.

Carter Hart Phil. started his third game and was on his way to his second shutout, playing 50:56, but Canada wanted to get Mackenzie Blackwood N.J. into a game. He played the final 9:04, making three saves. Hart stopped 21 pucks.

Team Canada is second in Group A with 15 points. Team USA is third with 14 points. The two teams play on Tuesday to close out group play.

Germany has lost two straight games and has 12 points. Finland leads Group A with 16 points and will just need to beat Germany on Tuesday to win the Group. All four teams will advance to the quarterfinal, which crosses over to Group B. If the United States beats Canada, it will avoid Russia and Sweden in the quarters.
