Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - Buffalo Sabres owner Kim Pegula confirmed on Wednesday that the search for a new general manager and head coach is in full force. She didn’t want to talk about candidates, but said they’ve already put a lot of work into the search and it could go this week and into next. Pegula said, “We’re keeping it under wraps, but we definitely have put a lot of work in this week.”

Team President Russ Brandon said, “No update on that. I’m not going to comment on that, sorry, I can’t help you on that.”

Brandon did talk about the Rochester Americans and the desire of the Sabres for a better facility than Blue Cross Arena. Brandon said, "We just want to continue to enhance the experience for our fans. As someone who went to college there (St. John-Fisher) and went to loads of Amerks games, it's a very important part of that community and we just want to continue to enhance it."

However, Pegula did seem very excited about Round 1 of the NFL Draft on Thursday night.
