Another Memorial Day weekend has seen the Indianapolis 500 come and go, with Simon Pagenaud as your 2019 champion.

The race was moving at a fast pace, with the occasional caution flag sprinkled in, before there was an extended break due to a multi-vehicle accident that saw several cars have their day ended with just over 20 laps to go.

Pagenaud led for a large stretch of the race after starting at the pole position, but was overcome by Spencer Pigot and Alexander Rossi with 20 laps until the finish. Pagenaud was able to come back and take over the lead with several laps to go, holding off Alexander Rossi in a thrilling final lap.

Other notable finishes in the race include Helio Castroneves finishing 18th, and Marco Andretti coming in 26th.

The win was Pagenaud's first Indianapolis 500 victory.
