Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - The NHL Department of Player Safety has fined Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev $2,403.67 for his cross-check to the face of the Sabres forward Johan Larsson. That’s the maximum he could be fined according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Sergachev drew blood, so he was assessed a four-minute high sticking penalty, while Larsson went for cross-checking.

The Sabres did not practice on Sunday before flying to Edmonton.
