(WGR 550) - Canada went to 1-1 at the World Championship over the weekend, blasting Great Britain 8-0 on Sunday. It wasn’t a very eventful game for the two Sabres representatives as both Sam Reinhart and Brandon Montour were pointless for Canada.

Reinhart played 14:50 and had a few scoring chances, including a real good tip in front. He finished with three shots on goal, starting the game with Anthony Cirelli T.B. and Sean Couturier Phil.

Montour got 16:58 of work and had one shot, playing mostly with Shea Theodore Veg. He was sent in on a shorthanded breakaway and was stopped. Montour was very active in the game, circling around the offensive zone.

The star of the game was Anthony Mantha Det., who had two goals and three assists. Kyle Turris Nash. also had two goals.

Others hitting the back of the net were Dante Fabbro Nash., Mathieu Joseph T.B., Dylan Strome Chi., and Couturier.

Carter Hart Phil. was in goal and only had to make 12 saves for the shutout. Team Canada had 56 shots on Great Britain.

The Canadians lost their first game to Finland, and will face the home team, Slovakia on Monday.
