One day after quarterback Josh Allen was named the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Week, another Buffalo Bills rookie earned a special honor on Thursday when linebacker Tremaine Edmunds was named the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Month for December.

The first round pick became the youngest player in NFL history to record an interception when he picked off New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold in Week 14. He had another interception in the Week 17 finale against the Miami Dolphins.

Edmunds finished his rookie season with 121 tackles, two sacks, seven QB hurries, two interceptions, 12 pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.
