Cleveland continues to treat the University at Buffalo Bulls very well as of late.

Both the men's and women's basketball teams advanced to the Mid-Atlantic Conference Tournament finals on Friday, with both teams beating Central Michigan to move on.

The men's team (30-3), 18th-ranked in the nation, needed a big close to the game from their star and the MAC Player of the Year, CJ Massinburg. Massinburg was responsible for the team's final nine points to cap off a comeback victory, 85-81. The Bulls trailed at the half, 42-37, but they were able to power their way to victory. Massinburg led the team with 21 points, while UB also got 16 points from Davonta Jordan and 14 points from Nick Perkins in the win.

The victory gave the Bulls their 30th win on the season, which extends their milestone marker for the program. The Bulls are one of only three teams in the nation with 30 wins, joining Gonzaga and Houston with that total. The men close out the tournament with a chance to win their fourth MAC tournament title in five years against Bowling Green on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN2 and can be heard on our sister station ESPN 1520.

Earlier on Friday, the UB women's team upset the top seed in the tournament with an 82-77 win over Central Michigan. Like the men's team, the women got a superb effort from their star Cierra Dillard. Dillard led the way with 30 points and seven assists, while Summer Hemphill added 24 points and nine rebounds. Hanna Hall added a crucial three-pointer towards the end to help the Bulls advance to the final.

The women face Ohio on Saturday morning at 11 a.m., which can also be heard on ESPN 1520 and will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
