Head coach Nate Oats secured his 50th career win with the U.B. Bulls, and the team has started play in the Mid-American Conference with five straight wins.

It took a while for the offense to get going in their 95-67 victory over the Nothern Illinois Huskies at Alumni Arena on Tuesday. Going into halftime the Bulls only held a 36-33 lead, and were cold from beyond the arc shooting 3-of-18 before the break. Junior Nick Perkins led the charge for the Bulls coming off the bench and tying a career high with 26 points, shooting 10-of-15 from the field. CJ Massinburg had another solid performance for the Bulls with 16 points, and Jeremy Harris, the MAC East Player of the week, chipped in with eleven points.

Buffalo is looking to return to the NCAA tournament after missing out last season. They had back-to-back appearances in the previous two years. Currently, the Bulls are ranked 26th in RPI rankings through last night's games.
