How would a nail-biting win over the winless Dolphins affect Howard's picks this week?

The Buffalo Bills nearly gave their fans a scare this past Sunday at New Era Field, but the team rallied to score 22 fourth quarter points and beat the Miami Dolphins, 31-21.

For nearly three full quarters, the Bills offense could not finish off drives with trips to the end zone, while the defense had some difficulty trying to stop former Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Dolphins offense.

However, the tide all changed after a Tre'Davious White interception at the Bills' two-yard line to give Buffalo new life in the third quarter. The Bills then turned that takeaway into a 98-yard scoring drive that was capped off with a 20-yard touchdown strike from quarterback Josh Allen to wide receiver John Brown.

White forced another turnover later in the quarter that resulted in another Buffalo touchdown to put everyone's minds a little more at ease.

The win was eventually capped off by a Micah Hyde onside kick return for a touchdown as the Dolphins were trying to tie the game late, down 24-21.

The Bills are 5-1 to start a season for the first time since 2008. The last time the Bills started a season at 6-1, you would have to go back to the Super Bowl years when Buffalo started the 1993 season at 7-1.

This upcoming week will be a tougher matchup for the Bills as they welcome the Super Bowl LII champion Philadelphia Eagles to Orchard Park. While the Eagles have stumbled out of the gate to a 3-4 record in the NFC East, they are still a very talented group led by fourth-year quarterback Carson Wentz.

However, the Eagles got steam-rolled this past week in Dallas against the Cowboys, suffering a 37-10 loss to their division rival.

The past two weeks had Howard Simon beaming with confidence as he picked the Bills to go 13-3 for the first time in the history of "Howard Picks the Bills." However, after the close call against the Dolphins this past Sunday, this week's picks have been altered a bit as Howard has the Bills back down to 11-5.
