At home, riding a two-game win streak, the Buffalo Bills are favorites in their Week 3 matchup with the 0-2 Cincinnati Bengals at New Era Field.

Buffalo is looking to get to 3-0 for the first time since 2011, and they will have to do it against a team that has had a lot of success in Buffalo over recent years.

While the Bengals are winless coming off a blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the roster has talent on both the offensive and defensive side of the football.

What matchups will the Bills have to win to continue their undefeated season?

Fans had multiple matchups on both sides of the ball they will be keeping a close eye on at New Era Field.

Bills offense vs. Bengals defense:

The offensive line has a tough task waiting for them in the interior of the Bengals' front-four.

Defensive tackle Geno Atkins has been one of the NFL's best interior pass rushers over the last decade. Atkins has at least nine sacks in four straight seasons. He has the ability to remove Josh Allen's ability to stay clean in the pocket and climb the ladder.

If the Bills can't contain him, Allen will need to utilize his mobility and make plays from outside the pocket.

You did good, Brian. The Bengals' inside linebackers are not strengths of the roster. The 49ers targeted that weakness in the passing game and on the ground.

Bills defense vs. Bengals offense:

The most popular matchup fans want to keep a close eye on is on the outside.

John Ross III has been on a mission this season to shake the bust label that has followed him since being a top-10 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Ross has surpassed his 2018 total of  210 receiving yards in just two games with 270 yards and three touchdowns. His record-breaking speed has been on full display, gashing the Seattle Seahawks and the 49ers down the field.

With Tyler Boyd also at Andy Dalton's disposal, the secondary will certainly have their hands full.

Although Dalton has the likes of Ross, Boyd, Tyler Eifert, and Joe Mixon to utilize, he might not have time to get them the ball.

The Bengals have already allowed nine sacks in just two games. Ed Oliver, Jerry Hughes, and Shaq Lawson could make life miserable for Dalton.

Author's choice:

The battle in the trenches will be crucial for a Bills win, but there will be entertaining wide receiver-cornerback matchups on both sides as well. William Jackson III going up against John Brown, and Tre'Davious White facing Ross will be intriguing battles.
