The International Olympic Committee will decide in the next month if the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo will go on as scheduled, according to a Sunday report from the Canadian Broadcasting Company.

CBC reports the IOC held an emergency meeting on Sunday and will decide what to do about this summer's games by mid-April.

Sunday's meeting comes after the IOC has faced criticism for not announcing a postponement or delay of the Tokyo games due to the worldwide Coronavirus outbreak.

On Friday, USA Swimming called for the Olympics to be pushed back until the Sumer of 2021, and on Saturday, USA Track and Field also called for the games to be postponed.
