Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus visited Schopp & the Bulldog today to discuss, how the Bills overachieved last year, and why we will see a regression this year. Why Josh Allen should start right away rather then sitting for a season. The potential of Tremaine Edmunds, and the Bills wide receiving corps.

Here is some of what he had to say:

Why Allen should start right away:

"I think he should probably win the job and start right away, I don't think it will break him as a quarterback playing early, and that's really the only draw back of playing a rookie quarterback. That or just having a better option, and I don't think the Bills do have a better option. Neither of the guys in front of him are going to be the future, so you might as well put Josh Allen out there and let him learn on the job."

The potential of Tremaine Edmunds, and why the defense needs to step up:

"Edmunds is another one of these all potential type of players, he's so young and so physically gifted but hasn't really been that absolute star in college like some of these other guys have. So I think that defense will need to take a step forward to offset the struggles the offense may have."

The Bills wide receivers, and why not to be excited by them:

"The receivers aren't anything to shout about either. We liked Zay Jones coming out of college a lot but year one was not good plus his off-season struggles. This could be a lot of Josh Allen running for his life in year one, and trying to make things happen by himself."

Why the Bills will regress this season:

"This team is likely to regress because that offensive line does not look good on paper. Russell Bodine has been one of our lowest rated centers for the past two years. Right gaurd and right tackle don't look good either, this is a unit that could struggle a lot."
