From one bills drive Chris Brown along with Donald Jones billion for Merck here on Monday Merck will be back tomorrow here on the John Murphy show presented by NAPA Auto Parts. And we are talking about the most of. Orton game on the bills' schedule. So we'll get into that in a little in a little while will wreak reset the table on that but joining us now. Is eight former offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills spent twenty years is a coach in the National Football League won a couple of Super Bowls with the New York Giants. He is now. Well I guess semi retired as far as coaching goes is we're gonna talk to about something he did just this past weekend as part of an an issue NFL initiative. It's Kevin gill bright joining us on the line Kevin thanks for joining us it's Chris and Donald with a high you don't. Don't break. In the new a new. Yes so you know let's just get this recent venture. Squared away right off the bat you know the NFL is. Doing this NFL coaching clinic they just had their inaugural one happy Father's Day weekend but quick schedule that one Korea. How did it go I guess this weekend for us to start off. Yeah for more like it's the I thought it was well received by the you know the attendees speak their coaches there or in the audience. We were. I think blessed to have an outstanding faculty. This done Marshall courts where. There're. Couple old legend very awkward to line with Jim McNally an hour mark. The linebackers without rowand Dave once said. Norv Turner Jimmy Graham myself the quarterbacks in the N besides Lionhead. That controllable ball won't go coach who sugar bird Hamilton sort of logic guys that. Really were well prepared and it'll have it's been a lot of obviously you're preparing the message. And what they want us to address was. Basically the fundamentals are intact the basics you know the foundation. Of of teaching and the individual's specific techniques or the other various positions there or proper. Not all the positions were were dressed just those four and I think with that plan is next year to remove the group will. Coaches that were there. The four different positions admit. Welcome a new blueprint than the original or that well you know there were covered yesterday or over the weekend via this from Friday through Sunday. What went well I I know all the all the guys who were the the clinicians that it on every every lecture so I think that's you you're pretty good indication of what you guys that are. Federal for a long time words treat and often and then there's the equality of the presentations were good about that everybody's stated endless and everybody's. All in underscored its 7:30 in the morning and not finish in about nine bird that a court that night. That's a pretty good pretty good incited the equality of the of the contest. Yet those young younger up and coming coaches use to coaching hours I guess right the Beck got a schedule algae. Via those guys that was there were caught there are all. I guess. Some position coaches somewhat quality control some coaching assistance so there are certainly accustomed to the hours what. I think the league thought it would be good behavior. Some guys that have been around for a long time kinda hard you know like put forward for your beautiful it fortunately years so. For professional experience. To go along world likely to reach for instance. Some of the guys in the narrative of an air over the map so you know I Bill Polian was that it was the guy who checked at all was B. And he gave me being the opening remarks and then and then the closing remark so. The ball blow up old well represented. Thank heaven I've always felt like you know there is the coaches don't spend enough time in this leave. Actually teaching you know by teaching the fundamentals of the positions I understand that. A lot of coaches are coaching out of the position name out of played or something like that what. A lot of the coaches in the NFL don't spin as much time teaching the basics and fundamentals of the position. That you know their coaching there's a league feel the same way and is this why they're holding clinics like this. You know you have my right I would start certainly that's probably a reasonable explanation. They steelworkers and read their. You go to improve the your ovaries. They're the individual. Stills of players from a from a you know from a technical perspective. I know that's that's like for the art for about throwing motion. Of a quarterback him in the things that would work be etched Surrey in order to throw the ball properly charged cents. Two hours. Just. Discussing these you know the pork in the sequential. Order a port call synchronize sequential pattern of movement that reached civic. You know food for the velocity that one has this ominous signs that the accuracy and also taking into consideration. The court if we're fortunate it multiple parts to be delivered and therefore proper motion. It's different than a pitching motion where there's no concern about how long it take so. That's the kind of stop that was all the Wagner in the Ballard got into the rug blocking and a couple of hours that. Powered mud well flowers on pass protections or. Very definitely that was the purpose of the of the year of the you know the three day weekend is that. You know how do you argue get these guys that are not a lot from steam and not rule out. It all out. Outsmarting them you know with with. A particular player or particular boards. You know that that will take care of itself there are gonna do that but how are you how to make their roles individually. That they can execute those different schemes so different strategies. In a more efficient way and and I think that was so are our ought that the guys that particular topic. And staying poured in it so what are you of the directive was which was for our party siege for the battles RB. You know how to use your guys to be better and there we talked about you know teaching strategies that the policy would be hearing. And I and cultural there's one of the things that was brought up by the coaches who we had break out section that in the evening after we roll on. And you know as you know written all the guys certainly like. For fortune airport I would say the old days work or start with Houston Oilers. More mobile community about three or three weeks four weeks off for which darker dark what you know with the organized practice partner and we would just the united ballpark. Which. Mark mob throwing me a little bit and he basically water you know could be instructed him in the review or anything you know there. And he thought it might have appeared with a strong vulture or foresee through. As well that he bought it exceeded. All thirty years have thrown a full or put back the kind of interaction one on one. Heinz that we could have where we could just hold me and are just the former Merrill the operation of doing whatever that. Particular skill position awards. And then we will start and reviewer virtual level. Slow raiders insert from you know from march people and they all regard Sergio. Well those things are available anymore you know report that bargaining agreement there concerns that were articulated by the Marty's younger coaches are. Which we all have their current prime time we geared our. And a legitimate concerns something that I think the league yours is aware of earners and it's it's just a heart saying there are reconciled to reduce aren't. Particularly in these young guys are on the court for example or record getting away from the server all the weight ball or is involved there's. You'll a lot of them have never bet on server before beleaguered theater well that is a solid plays that had been and that was disgusted back. We spent one hour one off you know just by Matt hardy get up and for a awful. And you're okay and and articulate a way of art and art gave an example that you wore Gallagher with the giants go to war. Would report to me every morning. Where the typographical. Errors there were a big game player. Except I think it was part of the present caught boats you know I think the secretary let's fight this secret in my point was that how. You know that's how. Don't apparently he's scrutinized for everything any scrutinized it's working the way he did because he was practicing. Saying the place sort of when he got up in part Ottawa next great. That it would Walters you offered up. Offers along very smoothly very confidently. And so when the play when no huddle all everybody on that offered units. Knew that the quarterback knew exactly what was going on army shall we talk about look like they're going there are certain urban seclusion and my my respect port. You know when you go to movies go PH and these individual per port irons well toward you you know well for you here that this season. I go there's your crappy port correct. To get better individually. With your on the medals currencies and because I'm just doesn't permit. So even though you're worried arts scene and introducing new concerts in new worries. If you didn't address the fundamentals first and foremost. During the spring and during training here you were never gonna get it done. It's a complete inverse relationship the college kids are getting further and further away from what the pro game is now. And the coaches in the NFL have less and less and less time to get these players on the field. To get them the fundamental skills necessary or honed in a way where they can execute the plays that they want to so it seems like the coaches just say. I just got to get ready to play the game let's just wrecked the plays and hope for the best in some cases. Is there is in that time on the field that you mention it's Kevin Gil driver talking to former bills' offensive coordinator on the subway fresh state outlined. And you know I wanna kind of delve into a couple of other things coach and everybody remembers your time here is the OC when drew let's it was a quarterback. Obviously you want to see rubles with the giants. And I think a lot of what is you know the soup to cure for bills fans is trying to find some kind of way. To finally vanquish the patriots which is easier said than done as we have all witnessed over the last several years. As long as number twelve play quarterback for them in Belichick's head coach but I think a lot of people point to the two giants Super Bowl victories over the patriots. As kind of the formula. I know you're on the offensive side of the ball for those game plans but. Can you just kind of take us through a little bit of the game planning we can I don't know that you were privy to too much. Of the defensive. You know game planning but just what you remember from coach Koplan the defense of coaches in terms of putting all that together than going out executing. Well I don't know. People would remember Bart in the 2007. We played them in the last regular season game and it was actually the week after all in all war there. And we knew we had to win one of those two games to get into the term. I mean. And became actually start are all against all what was it was the weather was horrific. Alia that call went sideways. It was more towards Poland's leader and a whole bit. Ever hired there's pogo are forever as a unit holders of mortal game to ever get there at. You burgers because it's a regardless sport can be hard move the ball. The ball or your heart on the field sports Opel burger or might garner the arc beard are very this is not a good omen. All we were able to come back your way in the game and so what we worked for the so that order patriot games both the patriots are not sick ordered to regain that you don't neither one prepared for etched. You'll our position they were going to be number one we were going to be work we war or trip. In you're getting here and in terms of you know the the match ups and everything also neither team could gain anything from that game. Neither wanted position and so certainly better than. What we were going to and so both coaches are certain there you know we will probably wind up removing some lawyers would regain your law. So on and so forth well. Regain wanted up being a battle order after it was a shootout and we were often on the field and he. Finally scored the beaters were both are very very good the first by a bigger game debuts 3835. And there and it was a it was a great game and we were crushed and everybody else happy because they remain undefeated or what have you. What sort Koppel thing became a lot of effort in one was. You know we where we thought we we had to do. A couple of things where we got to help mark the search that we review where we put the Ctrl+Alt. And maybe even be a little bit more. Conservative and our approach. What we whatever we could do. Through hold onto the ball limits their proper authorities. And these virtually I'd move very well prepared very awaits some of the big boys and they are very would relinquish some of the spot over an eight foot. Very wherever it wasn't going to be the same game as was electric was shooting game there's there's entertaining as that was her reported. As closely in the heart ordered to serve what. You know we are so we had to play a little bit differently but the one good thing was. I think our guys came out of that game saying. You know what. We comply with these guys deserved rest personally. You know we we just got beat your word as good as they are Arab enactment. That was the positive that wound up being taken out of the game. Neither team put anybody out there where you all go right to the end. And so that was the preferred. When the game started in their although people remember what we sure record on opening drive we only came away which reports we're sick weirdo or prime minister for certain what are awards. It was it was so you know it it's that the purple than they simple all you've done sport. And winners 73. And then there after all these kind of went up and down the field very slowly. You know we went down the next hour than all all all these minutes. Short that in the end result we Wear those border in now we got a turnover. And it features was a totally different game better or worse in the first game would have Garrett was one of those are all. Games art these birds are lying. Really played exceptionally well written. Exerted a lot of pressure on them are I'm sure they are so urgent sense if we were put before you insult. And then all of a sudden on the fourth quarter we put the ball and whites and they only got a beard awards and you know we Europe with a more well aware of so. I thought the second time we play them we were. Court frankly I are so we are better seen in the week we dominated the game and then probably had a better chance that. There's a win by a larger. And here we we should probably we are hopeful for into words air starts. Oh yeah Burton won their third all the holding all our love art simple it was. You know very fair you know rare couple players my belt and when you hear the of course there are all. We're Euro hole right there since their dollars Argo who won on the outlook and outlook of 5040 yard gain that would have let some of those or so. If you look at or formula I like your sister's YouTube you baker he approached it there are going to be themselves. And there are or use certainly here if you're gonna win the game and you know we've we're very confident we we we played close we weren't afraid to. The beer ever tightly part or break game. We have in 2011. Beat them off the birthplace. In another close game what we scored two touchdowns in the last three minutes of the game for freedom. So you know I think we've we have never. So. Our team bombers or do what we went into this game. Although we had. Great respect for them and the way they play the game and they're great quarterback bigger. I think we all felt you know we lawyers we are capable of you know we we could win and your old port report arms. And you know would be to pre report what we lost was you know here for your cart record forty or. So coats and and everything you just said it's who do well one thing that really sticks out to me is you need to be able to. Play your game control the clock and incessant often that you need to be able to stay on the field and just get any points that you can do it and read and. Dark figure under pressure right because. You know it's what one of the guys that's all yesterday's. Over the weekend without oral report. An interval port he was you know defense coordinator ignoring one about what Parcells was there and you know he referred to their whole. Watson is. Lugar's point limit what so. Not only beard did. Is that they're governing or underlying philosophy defensively ignored or so in both checked hole. They make your heart the sport don't you legible but all book though they may get art work at all. And it did starts what happened wars in 2007. In that shootout they struggle when they went shingle part. Covering Portugal Burris. So in this in this Super Bowl game we never got to art and we never got I was always do art sold somebody woke up all ports before. Which meant that you know beaten the ability to get some of the bigger worries that she was the the receiver that was capable of giving us that which was going to be taken away from what it did allow this for long the ball control all underneath under. Other guys the army to merged B Schmitt or are you in the first game. And are seen Nixon. And Mario Manningham as well for Victor Cruz in the in the second game. Then it we were able to run the ball because all it that was used to art the whole and you know it. You're good to be honest would you what happened and that first game. What we got down which we were Kristi Smith figured the first. That was the worst side they bought it then they went to the border and that's only irresponsible for us for the when he marched out of that. You gotta know you know that there are gonna take away or does everybody always talks while governor whoever Nicky answered here about your strengths. Sir you have to have Horry all ruled that one of the things you can do against those are judgments that you can guarantee you are going to be married. The codes win win bicycle birth or bird scored in Jennifer's game was that a single high. There was a ball girl that was single it was Ohio. That's it was there are about sort sort of the first for big boy ball game area. Just so you know the last three ways we threw electoral nomination goes wide open and your life mister Bradley. And I sit what. That he missed that. And somebody told me there are that are you know horrible RR who was yet we're still into it straight she would follow with a scroll. Like all the exact same Horry again and actors which are over rare disorder short sort of feel. It was a oil that we always rant but whites are viewed as we had three receivers so you're impressed street you know there's growing area a little bit more than I would white. What are the wildest with the facts are that all the sides. And actors all the more that you wrote coach quarterback. Communications as. Our city runner exact same way were ordered to be shortsighted self Brandon Jacobs a warrior buck here now. They're certainly in there and help the artful block their defense and because. That's the yard score your problem we're be merit and we got the big gain fourteen yards. And there are all the same play here and figured Caribbean is being covered. What they went with her about we have electrical against Seles one on one in the open field and the rest is history is that sort. Yeah and I don't know how many games you're watching for a week maybe more now that you know you're not really coach and every Sunday anymore but. Does it surprise you or or have you seen. They were talking 5678. Years in the rearview mirror that these game plans worked against. This patriots team granny you guys had a pretty darn good pass first two and that always helps it hits on Brady but at the same time seem like it's been our thirteenth. Here that's second year our defense like 48 the belief we have more grilled goods to threats or. The first year we work with the sort in your reward. Do you feel that you find it strange though that other team I mean we've always heard about how this is such a cap copycat league that. Teams haven't been able to replicate that formula that worked for you and I know each team is different there's 25 to 30% turnover on rosters every year but. With the lack of success that. Other teams initially had you think they'd be rulings try anything even if it's a carbon copy and they don't have all the right pieces to completely execute. What you guys did offensively and defensively that you haven't seen more teams try it or are they trying to they're just not successful. You know to be honestly I don't know I don't look if the I do a lot of work NBC Sunday night since metered saints right. Breakdown babble forehand you know what. Two weeks ahead and so. Bide time dispensed really preparation for those things are getting them you know my analysis ready for. For our first college work them for north valley companies put. What are you or I haven't really watched figured gain except when they're going to be on Sunday night the prep work warrior. And you genders look at every match ups and you know I would say this. Over the last period of time. Part of the wind when defensively has changed its shops that are absolutely. They're playing a lot more you know in the old days like when I was with the bills. You know we've they play a lot of two and you know they would blitz when he got down like the red zone or what. The play a lot more single file what more pressure may have had big big. Have a lot more confidence in her quarters now. And of course figures that it wore more guards from from pop in your neck right word guilt or yes I think they're gonna humans and usually a lot more of that. They're coordinator. Matt Patricia does a terrific job and again the same hole he may not be pop art. And in oval. Defensive guards being yards or are surrendering what. They're going to be they're going to be near the pop and I know they were here last year in terms remarked once that bailout seems to sport since. All right well listening Kevin we appreciate you giving SS of your time here and I'm glad that that inaugural NFL coaching clinic got off to such a good start based on what you were telling us good luck with that. And good luck with helping Collins worth we know only he probably needs it got more because I was. We appreciate its diamond. Thanks for thanks for spending it was this it was. It was certainly enlightening for us and no there was wearing your orange order. All right that's giving you all right former bills' offensive coordinator. Twenty year coaching that are in the NFL and he's got two Super Bowl rings on his hand both of those come with the giants in victories over the patriots had to pick his brain a little bit because. In theory here about that the pass rushing success that. The giants defense had in hitting outrage and everybody remembers that but to get some insight on. What worked for them offensively and I have heard before that that you know week seventeen game was instrumental. It from a psyche standpoint of giving as a team the confidence because. You know while. Coach kill bribes and neither team could improve their playoff position the pitchers to try to go for an undefeated season and so there was a lot on the line for them and we seventeen and they won the game. Obviously they would the most important game in which was at the end. But to hear how they were kind of processing. How to play them offensively I think is just as dangerous thing as you know what what everybody seems to remember from that game which is Brady yet. Hit by by the jets on everybody talks about you know you've got to be able to get the Brady immediately get the Brady. Got a sport score points. As well you know to a grind clock and controlled the tempo of the game to the limit Brady's possessions right you know I remember. Always go back to the 2011 year we beat them here and our game plans against him. It was always we need to be able to score with them you know. Our defense was not as strong we didn't expect our defense to stop the missiles like we have to score points with him. Will be a third down you gotta stay on the field on third down and you can't go three and out three and out three and out. And that's what. Usually happens with them you know you end up going through now in the naked the ball and they score right away and as the united down fourteen point to something like that trying to play catch up against that team in this tough you have to be able to either control the clock. And just grind it out grind it out or you need to be able to score points and the biggest thing is you cannot make mistakes you cannot make mistakes because they capitalized. One all mistakes they score points so fast if you turn the ball over they're going to score off of it and you find yourself. Down two months behind real quick break. All right well look we wanted to get to Kevin and talked of a little bit about one of the top ten offensive players of all time in bills history who may show up. On tonight's installment. Of the bills' top ten television series airing on amnesty episode number two is tonight at 9 PM. But Donald and I are gonna talk about a little bit on the other side of the break here because there's an interesting component we wanna add to the conversation so we'll talk about that with you. On the other side as we get set. Four episode number two of these five part series put together. Five vote to Buffalo Bills entertainment. It's a John Murphy show presented by NAPA Auto Parts from one bills drive this is Buffalo Bills radio. Chris Brown Dow Jones here if you on the geography show. Her will be back tomorrow after a nice long weekend. And 80305 if the Donald and I are kind of discussing the next installment. The bills' top ten television series airing on MSG. Second one is tonight at 9 PM. And knows a lot of fans out there are wondering when and if they can watch this. Such if they're outside the viewing area. As arrogant a lot of feedback on Twitter. And I I do believe this will be available on Buffalo Bills dot com after the series has. Run to its completion. So you want to checked bag there after this series runs its course the last episode for a mystery viewers at home or cnet's. July 17 is the final one top ten individual performances. Of all time in bills history. But the next installment of the top ten offensive players. In bills history in that airs tonight at 9 o'clock on amnesty is we said. With new episodes following each Monday with the exception July 4 week and you know we we were thinking and try to put our heads together as to who's gonna wind up on this list is neither of us were part of the internal committee that chose these ten players. But. If we were kind of thinking about this are there any current players. That you could consider either now that right now for this list. Or maybe even if they ever do a new installment. And have to make an amendment. And at somebody and knock somebody else out mrs. turn off at the players aren't offensive players that you think. Or worthy of the top ten all time list for the bills. I think you know CDs obviously going to be in the conversation right because of multiple Robles. You know he's he's been a consistent. Performer every year since really since he came into the enemy's money at one down seasons something like that but down by his standards as. Not that it's not down by everybody else's standards you know so. I would think that he would be a guy who could be. On an all time. You know list I would tend to it's very maybe a guy like air will air would. And it is notable for ovals or ovals you know like as if he didn't think the litmus test there. Would be to see if you know a guy like Ruben Brown. Or Jim richer than we know somebody like that lets see if there on the top ten Athens of players of all time list when it airs tonight. And if they are. You know and Eric can have you know three or four more solid productive and Pro Bowl caliber slash worthy type seasons. You know maybe he can get there but again if we don't see Jim richer on this list are we don't see Reuben brown. And nobody can we don't see you brown on this list. We won't hear it to the end of well. Well really think he's going to be that ticked oh yeah but we can takes us to strike them. He's three and up things he's pretty mellow these mellow on the I don't know these gimme you know they cannot buy an eighty's he's hot that he first lawyer yet and relieved in a finalist to be in all of thing. And I'm sorry say that vocal okay he's he's definitely. Been very up front about that here on the show one day we were domino like whoa. Ours are we Thomas with Janet that's that's soft spot for you and if he's not on this list and Aaron the top ten bill's list. He will be upset. Well I think key as well as anybody else realizes that a lot of times. You know of the guys that play on the outside are you back field and get all of the credit. And the alignment don't get a whole lot of the glory so you know I think it's. I think there might be agreeing assault he may have to take with that if he doesn't appear on the Liz BZ you know. You know the guys that are that should be that we I think we all expect on the list. You know some of the hall of famers. On the opposite side of the ball and you know Eric Moulds who we had on the show last week guy that Rubin played with for a long time. Second in receiving all time on on the franchise list of you would expect that got to be there. So you know I think it's it's a situation where the list it's really short really fast. And that's why we talked about snobs I don't know. Who is going to be on the says denim snobs they're going to be snobs because it is too many good players in this franchise's history. I'm elect he said he these guys and outside the wire receivers running backs quarterbacks are tight ends will always gate. All of the love because they're the ones that are that are really making the plays that people remember. People don't remember the lime him. But when you talk about Reuben a guy who went to I don't know how many pro bulls when he went to a lot of Robles. Is argument would be like an army all of these Robles hospital gave me love my. Come on man I mean I'm alive it's honest and I don't get this time like everybody else but I meet so many pro bowls lassie get some. Yeah it and you know he he went to a soup bowl in Chicago he's not that that really is gonna have an impact on his consideration for this list. But he went somewhere else that was successful all so. In which probably deserves at least some measure consideration maybe not this was specifically but for those things. Yeah I don't know I don't know I don't know we can make the cut. Really don't think Jim Richard played fifteen years in this league and he went to a couple Robles. He was a former first round pick just like Ruben. It's going to be tough it's was the end and let's not forget the sixties guys any Billy Shaw's in the hall of fame he played guard else out there. And he's a hall of fake. And I think you know in the ten years. Ten seasons of the AFL he was on the all AFL teams granite were only talking about eight clubs. You know. Maybe a few more by the end of it but. You know you talk about any team league. And he's in the talent is not fit in a team Lee and he's all AFL. The ten year existence. You know that football league it's. That's it's going to be out autos Joseph bluntly there's another one the other guard. OJ Simpson teams electric company all that it. Guard alone as hard as hard so that's argument being OK cupid argue that the best offensive lineman in bills history were all guards. He could make that argument and who's the best that. Well that's sort of saying I mean I there's not there's certainly some good. But the best linemen that people know that's what I mean mostly darts they Billy Shaw GOD. Rubin. Jim richer. Think Richard plates and her first and then moved to Gartman. It's gone our listeners monthly you're thinking of all star. Offensive lineman in bills history. The guard position has treated this franchise very well could read TB. Considered. That's a good thought communities in which he's only been two years but he's put together to Robles seasons here. And needs help really tasted the the media often I would agree completely. Yeah I think you could I think he's thrown into the mix and there's another guy with us with the Pacific. But now I think you get thrown into the mix that I do I will say this I think time. Time in buffalo on this roster. Is a factor when you consider these things too so at the end of McCoy his career. If he's here. Five years in wildly productive all five years. He's gonna have a really really good argument to make an amendment to this way. That's the when you're doing lists like this it's so hard for individual players to make. One team's list because guys move around so much it's rare that you have one guy in a city for. Four the extended period of time so if you going to buffalo you're drafted the buffalo. You need to strike fast and might make plays every year. For 45 years to make a list like this because back today all of these guys were playing on the same team for 1012 years also it was like this guy was productive here for tenets of years everybody did and remember that. Let's have a guy like CAD or Ritchie they come in for 234. Years and a slightly and they were so productive what they only played for this amount of time you know as a free agency. Is this is so different and maybe that's why somebody like an Eric Wood gets a little bit more consideration forty Glen has played well. You know as a left tackle for this team I think he's been dependable. Out there on the adjective franchise certainly thinks a lot of with a contract that they handed him just over a year ago. Com. Hasn't made a global in our president pro level. But yet can't. Can haul yet I think he's got to put him now there's an on guard finally we found one but yeah I mean that's again it's probably going to be on this list. You would think pieces. You know Jim Kelly has said that. Kadant Kagan doesn't exist and functionally function without it can't haul and I remember. You know talking to coaches. With him and the way heat as that happens move fast. Very very small and short terminology so they can move it faster. And on top of that they would snap it quick too and if he saw affront. That required an adjustment. He had to come up with a fast. Either with a call so I heard this one story that Ken hull comes up to the line and they've got to look that they have never seen before. They had a weighted to block it out. With a check. But they had completely turned. This team around. And so can't recognize this news in the matter two seconds he makes the check call but then says flip it. So everybody's it's like it is. Put the plane Amir and put the blocking scheme and Amir and just it just to come up with that solution like that and say flip bit. And then for the other four guys to know what the heck he means by uniting that but that's how much of a well oiled machine that group was because as you point out you know you've got these. Guys here 678. Years playing together and you know this error free agency it's very hard to. Maintain rosters in the same way and then you know windier it's always better when you have a team that has the same coach. You know our guys are used to the scheme and they seen a lot of different things like it's some McDermott it's hear her. You know for a long time you have those players that are in it in this scheme with the same plays and everything. You get to a point where aside I not seen this before. We can take we contagious to this and everybody time understands the when you're returning over scheme after scheme after scheme. You never really had that type of gel wars like. He calls the plane and he says with it because if you do that and you turn it over coats coats at the coat. You have at least one guy that's like what. The death has slipped right what would hate to say yeah totally lost and then at the quarterback has been blasted in the back and also. I mean you have to have the same coaching staff and one place that he can keep his players everybody had knows the scheme everybody you've seen. Throughout so many years in each hectic you concede. And that guy can make that call and everybody will understand what's going on that's been the issue here for so long hopefully now they won't keep that stream now would mean is. I don't think people really understand how hard it is when you're on the field. And teen girls on the net you'd you'd never seen. How quickly you have to communicate that across the board. And you have to play clock coming down you have guys back there moving around you have to the line moving around. It's like all man I don't go to doing it in the quarterback wherever has caught a play everybody has to get that signal that goes back to what. Coast bureau was talking about. The coaches have to spend so much time in scheme and so much time in sex and he checked it is a bagel bits. That they don't have a lot of time to really work on fundamentals with these players. 80305518550. To 550 if you wanna join us. You have a nominee. For current bills player on the roster that you think is deserving. Of being on the Buffalo Bills offensive players of all time which airs tonight and amnesty at 9 o'clock let us know. Chris Brown Donald Jones here with you on the John Murphy show presented by NAPA Auto Parts closing in on the second hour of the program. Reminder will have Lorenzo Alexander. On the line with us in the third hour that's coming up after the break but. You know we're thrown around. Any current players that we should consider for the second episode tonight of the top ten. Television series for the bills top ten offensive players of all time is the installment tonight. On amnesty at 9 PM. And we've knocked around a couple of names we'll see what you guys think it 8030550. Will will lead off with Curtis in Dan's bill. Curtis Rudy have for a nominee. They're down they don't there's some. Or are going home court probably in a one of the most countered back and it's not just count and that involved or not people like you're not about that but. I think a few years only you know well well well hold them back from Vietnam analysts well. Do you do you think there's anybody else on the list you know that you can consider now. Or is it is just the talent pool too deep for fifty years of bill's history. Our district count will wait to be coming yeah. Corey could tackle McCord you know great back but in terms of our debris and rocks are now up. Our anchors we appreciate thought if you feel differently were trying to throw out some you're trying to throw a ball into the office of luck in February you were the all you really net charge of economic I was happy to jump in there with you but I think I agree I asked it's really tough as. It is hard I mean you have yet you really have some talent and guys that have produced in this league you have hall of famers. You know it's like did you see anybody on the on the team right now that. Right now at this point your career hall of Famer. I mean McCord is probably the only one of them being an area that may get it so he needs to have a couple more productive season vikings head. To have strong consideration of being in the hall of fame so when you talk about a franchise with so many hall of famers right it's hardly that these guys to get in that list. You've got six. Offensive players in. Six hall of famers who are offensive players in team history. And the guy I think who is here the shortest was James Lofton. For the shortest period of time. And then you've got Billy Shaw -- country Thurmond are known operas Andrei Thurman GM. And the Lama winner so. Those years 63 or guards. Are we get a C three yards on this list. And if you have hall of Famer is making its. I don't know. Our kids in the hall of famers. So we'll automatic do you think it's a lock all six hall of famers area of the top ten list I would think so offensive even Lofton. Might be. Maybe time on the roster could it could hurt him he he was calling it what was here for four years that can hurt because giants in ninety. 9293. I mean you think about. And the you'd think about on injury. You'd think about Mowlds. And other often though no losers in guys like gentlemen Thurman. And even a guy like OJ who probably well Taylor's camp. Gosh you know so it's like to be laughed and he would be right on the friends of James off an incident as the president and he laughs and goes center fielders are in baseball it's his talk and be right on the friends if he should be in the and a. This is tougher than I thought it is I was not a lot of talent and I was and on that committee and now I see yours and you bet you're glad you weren't ready yet to split hairs really fast I probably don't you like. Didn't lead is down the list notes and let them publicly announce it way out of that internal committee I don't you know literally blow back tonight when people are upset that so and so on through his the list because it's common. It is because they're gonna find the people it might come from those people that cells that did it. A oh my gosh gimmick coughing fit year's day. Yeah I don't. I can't see. The whole thing I can't do that I believe all of them that's tough stuff. So with those sixty got to think those six are taken then you've got Mowlds. Who. Oh we forgot which which is day to okay. So it's maybe it's. News and Antonia Villaraigosa Billy Shaw have like my sentence them okay. So and senate tends not to just lock it up is locked in and out there can be all of us. 8030550. But on the other side we've got Lorenzo. Alexander. Daisy be joining us on the line will be talked it was him he is a media mogul. Is so we're gonna tap into his expertise in his thoughts on how spring practices went where he feels this team is that maybe comparison. To the roster he joined under Rex Ryan. And what he feels the prospects are we'll also talked about some NFL PA stuff that's of players talking about some things going on. With respect to rookie deals cap floor all of that he's an NFL PA rep so it is taken on that. Is that John Murphy show presented by NAPA Auto Parts from one bills drive this is Buffalo Bills radio.
